The main energy plant responsible for northern light's candle manufacture runs on eco friendly, bio fuel. This beautiful little machine has been adapted to run on our neighbours waste macadamia nut shells

  • We hand lifted this machine, part by part, from a cellar in Hamburg
  • And adapted it to run on waste nut shells
  • the north coast throws away tons and tons of these shells, most of them are burnt in the field
  • We use this wood heated energy and rain water to produce every one of our candles
  • this bio fuel machine decreased northern lights carbon emissions by 75%, overnight
